Sunbeam Garment Steamer
Sunbeam needed on-product usage directions and iconography for a new-to-market garment steamer designed for in-room use by hotel guests.
The product was already defined, tooled and near launch. As such, EchoViz could only make tool-safe changes.
We studied the product, the instructions and the usage scenarios. We worked with potential users, observing their behavior patterns and analyzing where the usage scenarios began to break down. Based on this research, EchoViz designed a series of icons identifying the product components and attributes. We also developed a focus group test plan for the iconography.
